I've been quoted B41,000 to fly with Swiss Air from Bangkok-Switzerland-Malaga including all taxes/surcharges etc etc, this is for an open return to leave in a week, 6 months return I suppose :o

Have any of you ever flown the same route and what did you pay?

I'd be interested in this too, as I'm thinking about visiting the parents. I'd need to fly to Valencia or Alicante.

My original thought was to get the cheepest direct flight to Frankfurt or Berlin, then get a low cost carrier to Spain. I was hoping that the return could be done for under 35,000 baht. You need an open return and that's going to up the price though.

Try www.airberlin.com (I pasted a couple of flight costs below)

Feb / March / April / May

Malaga

from € 82 »

from € 82 »

rom € 72 »

from € 49

Good luck. Let us know how you did.

I've thought about doing the same thing but I don't want to be stranded if the first leg of the flight is delayed

I still haven't been able to find anything on google for flights from BKK to Spain, anyone else have any ideas?

I have a friend/agent looking for flights for me but the flight that I was offered yesterday for B41,000 has not gone up to B45,000 I'm sure this is a trick by the booking agents, knowing that someone is after a seat in the next week and that person doesn't have any other options...

I've seen prices go up from one day to another but this is a bit suspect :o

Any other contacts ideas would be appreciated

This is something I would want to do later in the year to visit my sister in Benidorm (a bit like Pattaya but the girls are fat)

And....

Do you have any useful info for me/us?

I travel to Thailand from Spain and back every year from Madrid or Malaga; I've tried many airlines and the cheapest by far is THAI AIRWAYS; after that Air France, Lufthansa, Swiss or Lauda Air.

The three weekly flights are now direct MAD-BKK-MAD (13 hours).

My next flights are both not open, I bought them three months ago and I've paid €529 (25,000 THB).

A flight from Madrid to Malaga, Valencia or Alicante may be from €39-150 (1,850-7,000 THB), depending on:

- Airline

- Departure time

- Time between booking and flight, mainly.

I hope this may help you.

Try THAI AIRWAYS, but don't buy online, it's much cheaper to buy your ticket directly from them.

I haven't flown from Bkk to Spain, but I recently flew from Madrid to Bkk. By far the best deal that I found was on Qatar Airways. Not only was the price the cheapest of all the airlines mentioned here, but the service was absolutely outstanding. It rivals business class on some onther airlines. You have a short stop in Doha, but stay on the same flight.

Qatar might not pop up with many online agencies, so you have to specify that you want Qatar. I booked through CheapO Air. As I am sure that you know, the prices vary by day, so be flexible and I am sure that you will find a fantastic price.

I assume that you can get a really cheap flight from Madrid to Malaga.

Good luck.

Cheers LaoPo, I know you was only trying to help :bah:

The flights available are B38,000 each way before taxes etc, the total is over B80,000 still :D

I've settled for a Royal Jordanian flight from BKK-LHR and a British Airways flight on to Malaga, total for both flights is just over B42,000 although I've got a 9 hour wait between flights :D Can anyone recommend a good book? :o

Thanks for all your suggestions, next time I do this I'll book WELL in advance!
