CHIANG RAI, 10th November 2018 (NNT) - Australia's Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton has visited Tham Luang Nang Non cave where 12 boys and their soccer coach were trapped inside earlier this year, which led to the historic rescue mission that involved a team of more than 10,000, including rescue divers and experts from around the world.

Australia was one of several countries that assisted the rescue operation at the Tham Luang cave complex in Mae Sai district of Chiang Rai province.

While in Thailand on an official visit, Minister Dutton and members of the Australian delegation went to the site of the cave on Friday. The Thai government is keen to turn the cave complex into a tourist attraction. Still inside the cave many signs of the successful rescue remain, including equipment such as wires and pipes.

The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation has landscaped the area around the cave to accommodate tourists during the 46th Chiang Rai Games to be held November 18-23.

That team of 10,000 referred to by the statistician probably included the PM's huge entourage which would have bloated the numbers considerably.

Dutton is a vicious, racist and cruel heartless politician who is almost sure to be gone at the next election. Leave him there for sure and the deeper the better.

Dutton couldn't care less about the kids that were rescued - just look how he has treated kids in Nauru! His only reason for visiting the site is to get a photo opportunity and push his "caring" side for the coming elections.

Led by an idiotic myopic control freak, National Deputy Police General! ???? Sheesh.

My apologies if I got his (w)rank wrong.

And when the "opposition" returns to power the refugee problem will probably start all over again.

And don't forget:-

I am not Dutton's fan but there can be worse!

Wasn't aware the cave was Australian territory. Did the doc put a flag in there or something? Otherwise why would a home affairs politician visit it?

Agreed, and how about throwing Tony Abbot in with him to keep him company, then seal up the entrance.

No. I want to put Abbot in a cage with a bunch of sex starved gay bears [for those who don't know - big hairy men] for a month. then you can put him in the cave.

I would think you may have to be mentally deficient to have ANY politician on ones Xmas card list! :coffee1:
