If you and she showered before and after and you are convinced this is what she always does, you are probably OK.

In general they have good habits.

Do you think good habits like washing your sperm away would scare HI viruses?

That is being quite irresponsible and selfish, you could be infecting the girls or getting them pregnant and your only concern is yourself ejaculating without a condom .

Extremely selfish and you can have no complaints if one of the girls gives you a STD

Why are you even bothering to respond to this kind of person? Better save your intelligent comments for someone who could understand and appreciate them

So. By 'banging' 49 bargirls without a condom, and as you appear to believe, 'as far as you can tell', that you think you're not infected - how do you know that girl No.1 didn't infect you, and by your recklessness, may have infected 49 other girls?

How worthless, arrogant and inconsiderate can you be?

Not everyone is daft enough to imagine they caught HIV from a single encounter with a woman who probably wasn't infected.

Exactly ! if the risk was so high, knowing how stupid are men and women of this world, harf the world population would be infected.

It is very difficult to get HIV and you really need to try a lot, but of course it is not an information that should be widely spread...

That isnt correct , you really don't need to "try alot" , you can catch it the first time , although the more often that you put yourself at risk, the higher probability of catching it

Amazing, you have discovered a cure for the HIV virus, soap and water.

The world owes you a huge gratitude.

These are professional girls that screw for a living and everything is negotiable. But you seem to know it all and use name calling to feel good about yourself.  Maybe you should let one of these pros enlightened you as you might learn something about life but you would have to venture out of that moral box you live in. Thank you for reminding how thankful I am to not live in that judgment moral superior world you are stuck in at the moment. Take care of yourself brother and I will do the same.

I do know what there job is , no need to tel me .

I wasnt calling you names , just giving my opinion about your behavior .

Its  quite common for people who boast about their sex lives to think that other people who do not boast about their sex lives must be celibate virgins  , you dont have to be concerned about myself in that department , I just dont feel that need to tell everyone about it .

I dont see sex as a competition, see who can get the most , its not as if we are still all 19 years old , all going on a night out and see who can pull a bird .

It is not in the least daft to be concerned.

About 20% of sex workers in Thailand are HIV+. Of course, many of those are on medication and have suppressed viral loads rendering them virtually non-infectious, but certainly not all of them.

Whenever HIV is caught, it is from a single encounter.

The OP may have not clearly understood the odds of infection in numeric terms (and yes, they were low) but the risk was not zero and he did have reason to be concerned and get tested.

He does not indicate  the type of test done, and this is quite important. Antibody tests take time to turn positive; if it was an antibody only test he should efinitley be retested at the 6 month mark.

OP - you also need to be tested for Hepatitis B antigen, especially  if you have not been vaccinated for Hep B. This is also spread by unprotected sex and actually easier to transmit than HIV.

I've only tested 3 very popular girls (3x-5x customers a day). And they were all negative, which surprised me.

How many have you taken for testing?

But my pal caught HIV from a girl in Chiang Mai (he was doing 5 girls a week for 3 years). It's very hard to calculate the risk as everyone is lying about everything to do with HIV.

I waited more than six weeks. Tests are accurate after three weeks (according to HIV specialist I talked to).

Depends on the type of test done -- antigen only or combined antigen/antibody, and finger prick vs sample from a vein taken with a needle.

"An antigen/antibody test performed by a laboratory on blood from a vein can usually detect HIV infection 18 to 45 days after an exposure. Antigen/ antibody tests done with blood from a finger prick can take longer to detect HIV (18 to 90 days after an exposure). When the goal is to tell for sure that a person does not have HIV, an antigen/antibody test performed by a laboratory on blood from a vein is preferred.

Antibody tests can usually take 23 to 90 days to reliably detect HIV infection. Most rapid tests and home tests are antibody tests. In general, antibody tests that use blood from a vein can detect HIV sooner after infection than tests done with blood from a finger prick or with oral fluid......

if your health care provider uses an antigen/antibody test performed by a laboratory with blood from a vein you should get tested again 45 days after your most recent exposure. For other tests, you should test again at least 90 days after your most recent exposure to tell for sure if you have HIV."

I do not do the testing. The Ministry of Public health, using internationally  recognized sampling methodology designed to yield nationally representative information, does.  This involves multi staged random selection of sites and then of individuals.

Your "testing" of 3 sex workers does not provide any information about the prevalence of HIV in the population.  Depending on the type of test done, it might not even tell their status accurately.

Depending on the type of test done

Blood from a vein results in 2 hours, CM RAM hospital for the first 2.

For the pregnancy, blood from a vein, results next day, NakornPing government hospital.

(3 girls tested + me tested 3x)

But what type of test?

My guess is antigen only as that is what hospitals here usually do for simple screening. Which means the results only establish that they did not have antibodies to HIV. They could still have had a new HIV infection, takes 3 (and in some people, 6) months to develop antibodies.  And, perhaps most important, people are highly infectious in the early stages of a new HIV infection, precisely when most tests will still be negative. Which is why testing partners to assess your own risk is of limited value.

There is a TV member  -- heterosexual - who got HIV here by using exactly that strategy, relying in testing of the woman.

For yourself, an antibody test needs to be done 6 months after the last exposure (unprotected sex) to really give the all clear - or a dual antigen/antibody test at least 3 weeks after last exposure.

And, of course -- stop having unprotected sex.

According to the CDC the chances of catching HIV by having unprotected sex 1 time with an infected person (male screwing female who is positive) is 0.04%.

..while Hepatitis B is 100 times easier to transmit. Got vaccinated? Ok, just remember that 10% are non-responders to the vaccin.  To be sure, check your immunity.

Showering/bathing before and after has absolutely no effect on sexual transmission of HIV, Hep B etc.

Won't prevent pregnancy, either.

Sorry, I meant that only as an indication of how careful they are at taking care of themselves and you. It was meant as only an indication. Yes, there has to be more. Sorry, sometimes I write in short hand thinking others will understand my intent.
