Anyone know when the winter beer gardens open around Siam Square? And when the xmas decorations go up?

Wasn't there a traditional Thai crackdown on seasonal beer gardens a year or two back? I seem to remember the local fascisti thought that Bangkok was becoming too much of a fun hub.

That was just for one year because of the mourning period. I visited the winter beer gardens last year, good places to chill out while the Mrs goes shopping.

Used to be a festive atmosphere in that area at that time. Hope it continues.

They also cracked down on bier gardens because they didn't want to promote drinking. And no promotions. If you can't rust what the government says who can you trust? 55555
