Huay Kon N.Thailand/Laos border crossing?

Anyone have recent information on this one?

Looking for a simple out & return (with a 30 day exempt).

No existing land border stamps in passport yet.

Not many posts for that crossing.

A Lao visa on arrival is available there so it possible to enter Laos there.

Unless you have already done 2 visa exempt entries at land border crossings this year you should not have any problem doing one there.

At least there is no reports about being rejected.

Member  @freedomnow had asked about driving there in 2017.

Other references in Thaivisa are a bit older.

One member states that it is open for (re)entry without visa (exempt) too.

Crossed there with my bike about 2 or 3 years ago from Laos to Thailand, got a visa exempt back then. No problems, everything easy
