I have the same feeling in any country. Don't think thats the issue. I just think that the priorities is non-exsistant in the Thai dictionary.

Passed that land mark years ago. I believe the Thai constitution is the only one that does not recognise human rights. I stand to be and will be no doubt corrected on this I hope.

I have no argument with rounding up illegals but I question why this is apparently being done by the Traffic Police rather than Immigration. Surely their time would be better spent actually enforcing the road rules and apprehending and punishing the transgressors who have turned Thai roads into the world's most dangerous.

Whatever figures they showed only indicated how effective and efficient the Thai immigration is.

With the total lack of critical thinking this question is not addressed by the authorities, of course there is the issue of face as well.

I recall from previous mass arrest article(s) that some of them was for not doing their 90 day report. Not mentioned here, but probably quite a few under the "other" category. Cheers!
