Latest Victim of Bag Snatch in Jomtien

On the 17th of February at 12.30 am a Russian couple went to Dongtan Police Station to file a complaint. The couple could not speak English so a member of the Tourist Police was called.

Within 10 minutes a Tourist Officer arrived and discovered the couple named Mr. Rostylay Suprun, aged 37 and Mrs. Olga Suprun, aged 33, who told Police that whilst returning to their hotel in Jomtien, they where about 200 meters away from the hotel when they were approached by two Thai men on a motorbike. The passenger of the motorbike suddenly grabbed the unfortunate lady’s bag and a tug of war started. The couple eventually lost their bag and she fell to the ground.

The bag contained 2,000 Baht, their room keys and a digital camera.

The scene occurred in the responsibility area of Sattahip Police Station so the two were sent to the hotel and their tour guide will be informed to take them to file a complaint at the Sattahip Police Station.
