Do "B" non-immigrant visa holders get asked to show 20,000 baht at the airport?

Hi, tomorrow i will be entering Thailand through DMK with a teacher non immigrant visa (my first one ever). Having already spent 5 months in Thailand under a tourist visa, do you think there is a chance i would be asked to show the 20,000 baht at the immigration?

You is unlikely you will be asked to show it since you will be using a non-b visa or entry.

Is this also true for non-O visa (family) holders?

Under the law/regulations ANY visa holder can be asked to show 20K baht. It can be cash, travellers cheques or the equivalent in foreign currency. However, it is not generally enforced.

It is usually only long term tourists that immigration are considering denying entry to that are asked.

If you are entering with a non-immigrant ‘O’ visa it is highly unlikely you’ll be asked.
