Christmas/New Year in Pattaya

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Newbie here although been to Pattaya loads of times. Never visited during Christmas/New Year so this will be my first time. Just wondering if you long timers have any recommendations for any special activities that go on during the festive period. Is there much celebration goes on?

I have been every Christmas/New Years since 2001 and will be back in 2 weeks again this year.

I find it a festive time of year and yes its high season.

Lots of the bars having parties with most of them having the girls dressed in their little red Santa outfits.

I haven't experience increased levels of idiots, drunken and antisocial behavior, just about the same as any other time of year.

Come and enjoy, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Traffic is nuts so my advice would be to book your stay early at a hotel within walking distance of the areas you plan to spend the most evening time.

You will generally find it to be quite busy for a couple of weeks over Christmas and new year, Increased levels of idiots, drunken and antisocial behaviour. Increased prices.

But apart from that it is pretty much business as usual.

I can concur with your thoughts.....generally I hate the Xmas / New Year times in Pattaya.....just more drunks and idiots to try and avoid.....will give it another big miss this year....much to the delight of me, myself and I....????
