Where to buy a wall-mounted display cabinet?

Featured Replies

As per the title, I'm looking for wall-mounted display cabinet, something along these lines:

This one was on eBay and the price was OK but they wanted the same again to cover postage, crazy.

I've looked in the usual places like Index but haven't seen anything like this so far. I'd be happy to get it made to order if there's somewhere that can do the carpentry plus glass work. The Euro Design place on Thepprasit could make it to measure but they are not cheap, their estimate was roughly twice what the eBay cabinet would have cost INCLUDING the postage. I know there's plenty of carpentry shops around, I live quite close to the Jar furniture shop on Thepprasit, but I'm not sure if he will use real wood instead of plywood and I don't know if he can do a good job with the glass doors and mirrors.

Has anybody bought or had something similar made here, combining lots of glass with decent quality wood, and can you recommend a shop to get it? Thanks.

Try Lazada. Would not have it custome done. If it is cheap they use crap materials. Good custom-built furniture is not cheap here. Done some in plaswood, lasts forever.

BOONTAVORN? Homepro? Ban and Beyond?

Might get lucky with a unit that fits what you need it for...

But here.....

Thanks. I've looked on Lazada numerous times but have never found anything like I want. Your second link is certainly heading in the right direction but the cabinet will be full of antique lead crystal so I'll install LED lighting and want glass shelves and a mirrored back. It might be possible to get someone to retrofit those, but it may be easier to simply get it built from scratch if I can find a good shop.

I've looked in most of the shops around town but not Baan and Beyond, it's slipped off my radar since they renamed it from Homeworks. I'll have a look there next week, but since the change in name it seems to have even less useful stuff than it used to.
