bannork
Now i feel better. I wonder what happened to Talahtnat the car/ classical music lover from Essex/Pattaya with a dog called Gnasher. Haven't seen him post for a while. Perhaps he went back to Essex for the 'summer'. if so , he should be back shortly lol.
Andrew Dwyer
So, back in 2002 me and a buddy were working in Batesville , Mississippi.Batesville is a one horse town ( famous only for its proximity to Oxford and Ole Miss University ).So, having done Graceland, the casinos in Southhaven and Beale Street ( Memphis ) on our previous days off, we were there for 10 weeks , we decided to just have a drive out and see what showed up .Well we weren’t expecting this:In the middle of nowhere ( 60km west of Batesville )stood this huge monument to the spot where Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil !!We were taken aback and stopped and took plenty of photos, unfortunately these snapshots were lost along with my tools when some gyppos took a fancy ( but that’s another story ! ).Anyhoo, this crossroads near a small town and his meeting with the devil caused Johnson to write a couple of tunes , one of these, Crossroad, gave inspiration to many and was recorded by a few , although now retitled as Crossroads .Here’s a couple of fellas you might recognise.
