Tippaporn
Mystic Eyes by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers performed live in Gainesville, Florida in '06. Funny, when I wore my hair longer many different people had told me, including a few of my kids' friends, that I look like Petty. Hmmm . . .

Tippaporn
Hauntingly beautiful song, Blackhole, off of Beck's '94 Mellow Gold release. This song was featured in the 2004 Matt Dillon movie, City Of Ghosts, with James Caan, Stellan Skarsgård and Gérard Depardieu. A very underrated film, shot between Thailand and Cambodia. BTW, this song ends at 5:14, followed by some silence, and then some electronic gibberish which you can all spare yourselves from listening to. Tippaporn
The beautifully somber and melancholy Peter Whitehead tune, Dear 5. The images in the movie bring it home.

Tippaporn
Chills To My Spine by Pan Ron from the flick City Of Ghosts. I remember watching this movie whilst being stranded in the States for 3-1/2 eternal years. Not only was it a thoroughly entertaining movie but the images gave me such an overwhelming feeling of homesickness. Even had a scene with durian in it. My all time favourite fruit (and no, it don't stink)!! Best line from the movie, which I've since used myself when talking about Thailand to farang who had never been here: James Caan is living in an old, run down governor's mansion in Cambodia when he's visited by Matt Dillon and Stellan Skarsgård. Caan gives them a tour of the place and Skarsgård sardonically quips, "Well, it could use a paint job." Caan's comeback, "Well, the whole country could use a paint job. But that's part of it's charm." Amen! Edited August 8, 2019 by Tippaporn
