Perhaps that are no laws on the books that address motorists impeding emergency vehicles.
The only thing that is really important is that motorist get out of the way of police escorted motorcades of VIPs.

certainly more important than some pleb being transported by ambulance -- priorities please .

I don’t know weather it’s stupidity or selfishness constantly displayed on the roads here.

Both.... It starts with utter stupidity and ignorance... then whey they are called out, face kicks in with an impressive display of selfishness...

....The dented ego is a true sight to behold and these idiots a shining example of how a lack of guidance and highly flawed moral education manifests itself in adults....

Harsh as it may seem I really want to see the headline.

Driver who blocked ambulance finds out his mother died in the ambulance.

That's the public information campaign advert they should make to get the point across.

they just have the wrong ambulances in Thailand. Use this one and they will move. They maybe just need a little push 5555

Trouble is some ambulances abuse their privilege. I have seen ambulances using lights and siren stopping at a restaurant for food and then continuing their journey on lights and sirens with no patient on board.

Yes. The broader issue in Thai society is that Thais distrust each other, generally.

Why not introduce a infrastructure road plan where only public and emergency transport (bicycles too?) Is alowed to use an extra lane on the most crucial main roads in a city....good for economics too

I'm sure there are ambulance drivers who abuse their position by using their sirens for non-emergency errands, etc. But at the end of the day, whenever you see an emergency vehicle with their lights on, you do everything you can to move out of the way. People should always assume it's an emergency. If the driver is using his lights simply to go and get something to eat, etc, shame on the driver and staff in the vehicle. The drivers who move out of the way can be happy to have a completely clear conscience.

Probably he even can't drive at all so that's why he didn't know what to do.
