Outspoken Chalerm named Pheu Thai’s chief of election campaign team

Chalerm-Yoobumrung.jpg

Maverick former MP of Bangkok Chalerm Yoobumrung  has been appointed chief of the Pheu Thai party’s election campaign team in charge of campaign throughout the country.

Known as a crowd puller for his outspokenness and tough-guy character, Chalerm said that his campaign speaking team would include, among others, former MPs Adisorn Piangkate and Suthin Klangsaeng.

He said that the campaign rally at each location would last approximately three hours and that his team would travel to upcountry in accordance with the planned campaign route.

Grab a seat and bring out the popcorn. Chalerm versus Prayut and Prawit will be raw upfront full throttle stuff. Waiting for him to tear into these two ursupers in his campaigning. He is the right man for this election campaigning where others will be intimated to speak out against the junta.

Hope he does not have ear troubles.

Interesting choice. Not too sure if it’s to gather support or to anger the generals. Either way would be fun show to follow and watch

FWIW, I agree. I support PT, but not with this guy and not with Sudarat. Both are soiled goods imho.

For a guy that claims to want "democracy" you have very odd ideas about who should lead. But maybe you know something the rest of us don't. Perhaps his thug sons will be at the rally's or maybe the pink Bentley will be the campaign vehicle. Will he encourage people to burn their local government buildings? PTP needs new blood not retread drunken goons.

Chalerm will have everything under control in 90 days with the help of a man who's name starts with S.

Duangchalerm will provide security?

Should people appose such a person, then you should not invite the junta to take over the country in the first place.  To remove stubborn stains, you must use toxic, flammable chemicals. He is the cleaner.

Chalerm is a relic of old politics and can only talk smack and represents many undesirable things. However anyone who gets in the face of those two thugs, get my vote.

How low will you fall, Mr Loh? Your, later #10, this #3, is not any better. You must really have broken your skull though to write something not-negative about ear-medicine addict, (not-my) Bentley driver pink or black, the guy having khmer mercenaries inside 'his' ministry, forgetting about some crime that made him stay in Malaysia for years waiting for the statue of limitation, and not a word about his sons...

But I guess you were asked by a client to write some contribution here...

Oh, do you still have that old 'His Master's Voice' brand record player at home...?

Using 'flammable chemicals', hmm 'yellowboat', will you after that still pretend you were not in favour of the red shirt terrorists galvanising the lemming's crowd to burn down Bangkok? ...And some did, but the bastards on the podium have still to be sentenced. ...As you should maybe be.

IMO, he 'deserved it' at least as much as Seh Daeng, but maybe Karma has a less immediate but more painfull end 'programmed' for this one.

As for his reincarnation, the list of ideas is still open for horrible ideas... Mine was a mighty poisonous tarantula, ...just stung by a wasp, its magot very slowly feeding on the spider from inside it.

He's been sitting at home for more than 4 years....I'm sure his "ear aches" have been getting a real bashing!.....but no doubt, only the best Scotch would do that!

To make this a success he should offer three hours unlimited refill of free ear medicine for all participants.

Junta apologists do have such seething brains. The junta has make this election dirty and have intimidate all oppositions. In fact they done worst than intimidation. You don't bring a paper cutter to a gun fight. You fight dirty when you face with dirt. Seem simple to understand. Right?

Are all Redshirts terrorists ?   Is it good for a country to have a military police state ?  Has the junta governed well ?

Synopsis of Chalerm Yubamrung:

butt-grabber, earache medicine over-indulger, pink Bentley driver, doting father to murderous son, drunk lawyer and ex-police captain, 7-day problem solver. Health Minister, Interior Minister, Justice Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Labor Minister, a true over-achiever by self-proclamation

Traditional Thai politician enriched by elitist associations.

Normal.

Agree.

Yesterday there was a short clip on Voice TV of a meeting of PT hopefuls, and a comment picked up by a reporter 'Chalerm is a superstar'. Really, they must have short memories.

I wonder if they have a mobile well stocked wine bar and at least 2 waiters ready to escort him everywhere?

I would have appreciated to read a reaction from the genuine 'Eric Loh', not written by some 'surrogate' replacing him. They're so easy to spot Eric: your english orthograph is perfect, while that of your, ...your 'clones/puppets', like 'the Master', would say is far away from it. Give this one some additional training in verbs and prepositions, please.

We're recently hearing a lot about (...the lack of) ethos, well, isn't it un-ethical to have different persons using a same name, on TV f.i., aren't posts published here supposed to come from the hand of one, single individual...?

How truly sad. That someone justifies supporting a true scumbag by trying to suggest reasonable people must be Junta supporters because the recognize a corrupt criminal gangster who should be behind prison bars.

Eric, your hatred for the Junta is not an acceptable excuse for supporting someone like this.

No - not all, and their terrorist faction sometimes wore black shirts. Not good but to be honest what difference has it made to you personally? No worse than any of the others and better than some.

Welcome back, police captain, you've been missed. How are your sons?
