First Bangkok Bus Fare Hike In Years Coming 2019

BANGKOK — Transport authorities have approved a hike in bus fares of at least 1 baht starting next month.

 

New fares for both public and privately operated buses will come into effect Jan. 21, according to Peraphon Thawornsupacharoen, director-general of the Land Transport Department.

they should get rid of the 50 setang ticket price while they're at it.

This will surely outrage the "netizens!"

Well, they have got to pay for all those new "Chinese" buses that were stored on a quayside for a long time.

Difficult to fathom it's not a 50-100% increase like most everything else round here. Then again...not too many foreigners ride da bus!
