Jweiler
Hi, I am currently on a student visa and am applying for my Marriage Certificate at a Thai amphur shortly. Beforehand, I need to get a marriage affidavit from the US embassy. On the affidavit form I need to fill out, it asks for my monthly income. Will I still be able to get a marriage certificate if I write $0 income because I'm a student? Alternatively, I am an author and I get royalties from book sales in the states, about $1,000 a month. Should I list $1,000 as my monthly income instead? If I write, $1,000 income from being an author, my fear is they'll think I'm working in Thailand on a student visa, even though those royalties are passive income. Your thoughts are much appreciated. THanks. John

ubonjoe
You can put any amount of income since nobody will ask for proof of it.

Ubonjoe, so does that mean I can put $0 and I'm a student, and it won't matter? Thanks for your previous comment as well.

I certainly would not put zero income. Perhaps put around $1300 since that is equal to a little more than 40k baht.
