PATTAYA:--Two people were hurt when a wrong-way driver caused a wreck outside Nongprue Temple.

Chainarong Boonsungnern, 37, was taken to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital before police arrived at the scene of the Jan. 4 collision between his Honda Accord and a Toyota Vios driven by an unidentified man.

The Vios driver suffered a head wound and had to be pried from the truck. He was transported to Banglamung Hospital for treatment.

Witnesses said the Vios driver was headed east from Sukhumvit Road, but driving on the wrong side of the road. Chainarong turned into the temple to avoid a head-on collision, but the Vios slammed into the side of his car.
