Korean Air price changes?

Featured Replies

I used to get tickets from Chiang Mai to USA for about $850 round-trip but I'm seeing the price has increased about $300-$400 since last year. Does anyone know if Korean Air raised prices or did something else happen? I expected small increases every year but this pretty drastic so I'm curious if I should just give up on the airline.

Every airline seemed to drastically raise their prices recently.  My flight today RT LAX/BKK was less than $500.  For June, the cheapest was over $1100.

Yeah lax rt have been $500 for a while. I wonder if the shutdown could have affected this.

You got a round trip for $500? what airline? Maybe there's still cheap tickets mixed in. I always paid about $850 from LAX to Chiang Mai but maybe I should have been going to BKK.

Something is certainly going on and this started around 6 months ago from when I was aware of it

I’ve been flying the Chinese airlines (China Eastern and China Southern) for the last few years and have had round trip tickets for as low as $470.  Most were right around $500.  I couldn’t find anything less than $1100 for June this time.  I used to live in CM and flights were the same price as to BKK.

Yeah I flew them one time and it sucked so I vowed to never do it again. However, now that Korean Air is so expensive I guess I need to suck it up.
