Just another #SKY-FALLING-IN ALERT.

As Secretary of State for Business, he should be telling industry about all the benefits Brexit will bring and what new advantages he and the UK govt will be giving to industry in post-Brexit UK. That includes for businesses like Nissan too.

More MSM spin. Reuters have regurgitated and wrapped this up with total nonsense from The Times about traffic jams and emergency responders too. The Guardian's is the best - ...Britain would struggle to export waste as well as livestock, leading to growing mounds of rubbish and slurry... straight from the paper that's always full of sh1t.

Please enlighten us. What do you consider to be "all the benefits Brexit will bring"?

The intensity of the apocalyptic visions is increasing daily.  It is really insulting to the intelligence of at least 17 million people who actually voted for what they actually wanted.

One might surmise from the increase in dystopian alerts that the Remainers are concerned there might be a second referendum (God forbid) and a second defeat for their defeatist attitudes!!

Maybe move to China or North Korea. I’ve heard there they don’t insult their people with bad news; it’s always great news 24/7, and they don’t exactly feel obliged to stick to the truth either. Plus, they also consider manipulated votes a legitimate way of democracy.

I know what you mean, every day something else from "project fear".  It is incredible how many reports there are, from industry and all areas of business, from the environmentalists, farmers, supermarkets etc. etc.  The list goes on and on and it is every day that they come up with more of it.  Of course there is the other side of this, all the positives from the other side about leaving with no deal....  I can't think of anybody saying that although you always have JRM.  Hang on though he said (on his LBC show) that an extension would be acceptable if it allowed May to clinch a deal.  Careful there Jacob, starting to sound like you are changing sides.  ????

And all of this labelled as "project fear".  What is more amazing is just how many people are in denial.  So many heads buried in the sand.

If we crash out at least we will have taken back control of our laws and borders for the Tory's and the rich our tax havens can be restored and we can concentrate on zero hours contracts and food bank expansion whilst waiting to die on our own NHS trolleys in A&E. Shares in Brighthouse will rise sharply our $ will be safe as pounds used to be .We can now call Dover the number one UK tourist hub for Brits wanting to look longingly at free Europe from the bastion of the white cliffs ????

Iyt will not be 'our own NHS' very soon.  Mrs May is beefing it up ready to be sold to American companies ASAP

Could we evacuate Her Maj and the rest of the Royal family (apart from Megan) to Europe permanently ? Buck House could be used to shelter the homeless of London

Yes it is bad. All the responsible leaders from major company corporations, the industry and commerce associations, universities, the Bank of England, statistical offices and so on. All are so stupid and fall into project fear.

They just do not understand the Brexiteer logic. The EU is responsible for all internal problems in the UK. Also for the low birth rate and beer prices. No EU = all problems solved. The whole thing without any planning. Eyes shut and go for it. The UK won the last war alone. University education is also harmful. Faith can move whole mountains.

Nissan havn't actually commented on their reason to pull the manufacturing of the XTrail, they said "we do not comment on rumour and speculation."

"Peter Campbell, the motor industry correspondent at the Financial Times, said the fall in demand for diesels would appear to be one of the main factors in the announcement as Nissan was planning to make mainly diesel versions of the X-Trail in Sunderland."

But it's always nice to blame everything on brexit, isn't it.

You think, there is ANY brand owner, dependant on the goodwill at their customers, who would say: "you stupid consumers, because of your total irrespondable voting we will move YOUR jobs to elsewhere ? ". Remind Unilever, who keeps its dual headquarters in London and Rotterdam for the same reason.

Peter Campbell is the motor industry correspondent for the Financial Times, not a brand owner, I would hardly call him irrespondable like you did.

You are clutching at straws.

A huge investment in the NE is now not going to happen.

The company doing the U-turn are very clearly doing so to protect their business from the UK’s abandonment of its tariff free access to the EU market.

There have been other such moves and there will be more.

Enjoy.

The only thing I'm clutching at the moment is my Pernod and ice and what your post has got to do with your original post you offered 11 hours ago is a mystery. Even for you that is an monumental  deflection of epic proportions.????

You should perhaps go easy on the Pernod.

Food retailers warn MPs on risks of no-deal Brexit

  • A no-deal Brexit would quickly trigger a jump in food prices and a reduction in choice of products, British retailers have warned in the latest plea by big business against leaving the EU without an agreement.
  • "significant risks to maintaining the choice, quality and durability of food that our customers have come to expect in our stores," adding, "There will be inevitable pressure on food prices from higher transport costs, currency devaluations and tariffs."

A jump in food prices and reduction in choices is starting to sound like the import section at Big C.

Lololo as if the Brexiteers haven’t been blaming the EU for all the UK shortfalls over the last 40 years. Look closer to home and you will realise why the UK is a shithole
