Overstay 9 month

Hello , what is the penalty for 9 month overstay in Thailand ? Is it just pay 20.000 @ airport or + something else ? Some people would like to back home [emoji16].

One year ban if you present yourself at the airport with 20,000 baht.

Five if caught before and go to jail.

Now they have more then 1 year overstay [emoji16]. Is need go out only from airport or can use land border / immigration office first for pay 20k?

At most land crossings, they will not allow you to clear a long overstay. Further, where would they be intending to go after crossing a land border? They will not be allowed back into Thailand. Finally, if caught at a roadblock on the way to the border, they might well be arrested and jailed.

The only sensible (legal) approach is to fly out, paying the fine, and being processed for the blacklisting, at the airport.

Leaving form an airport is the only good option.

Most border crossings would turn you away that long of an overstay and tell you to leave from an airport.

Your banning will now be for 3 years since you have gone over a year.
