Because of the recent 'changes' regarding embassies no longer notarizing the income letter related to the retirement visa, does anyone know if the embassies are still notarizing degrees for teachers?

Thanks in advance if you have any information on this.

At the time that they announced that they would no longer be issuing embassy income letters, the British Embassy also announced that they would no longer be notarising UK degrees.

It depends upon which embassy you are referring to. Some have never done it and other have done it and still do.

Thanks guys.  I am English, but I was wondering in general if embassies had stopped doing it.  So if it is the case, what does a would-be teacher do if they needed to get their degree verified?

Many thanks again.

Don't wish to sidetrack thread but better than starting new one perhaps. Recently oz embassy stopped endorsing residence. Sort of thing required for car licence etc.

I just had email from my solicitor regarding sale of property in oz. I need (apparently) to have it witnessed by embassy or au solicitor, here in bkk, transfer doc. Anyone in similar situation can advise? Ta
