Do you need to complete these if you temporarily relocate whilst you are renovating your property?

The op is not renovating. Has correct answer from jacko54 post #2. Since I'm here ...it depends upon you imm office.

If you are unable to be at the address which you have reported, you must report your new address within 24 hours of arriving at that address.  This is in the Immigration Act.

I am renovating, so the question was related to me renovating, and me having to vacate my residence whilst I was renovating.

I report to CW.

I would not worry about doing it for making a temporary relocation like you mention.

Plus Chaeng Wattana immigration do not enforce the reporting as strictly as other offices do.

With the advent of mobile phones and the internet, almost every thing we do with Immigration in order to comply with the Immigration Act is superfluous. Imagine being accused of false reporting because Immigration knows that you were not where you said you were!

UJ, do you think this assertion is still valid in view of all the recent discussion regarding TM.30? Tkx in advance your thoughts.

For the situation I was replied to it would still be correct.

No proof that anything has changed in that respect at immigration in Bangkok.

I believe there was an article recently about Chinese getting in trouble for not reporting within 24 hours. As with everything else in LOS, I would bet it's hit and miss, but I wouldn't take a chance. If possible, do it within 24 hours.
