Wouldn't be surprised if it happens in America, don't know if it happens in UK.

My Thai step son did OK in going Uni in Thailand would of been too expensive for wife so it was left up to me.

From what I see I don't think Thailand school system wants farmers kids and poor families educated to much, they need many to work at low rates of pay.
