  • Sounds guilty as hell to me. He told his son that his mother had gone back to Thailand to marry someone else. When the son went years later  to his grandparents in Udon to find his mother the dots beg

Sounds like somebody killed her.... and not hypothermia...   But I don't read much in the article suggesting or presenting any evidence as to who...   Of course, there's also zero

Seems strange she was semi clothed. No mention of rape but maybe possible? possible somebody else involved and husband just thought she left him?

According to the autopsy, she had not been sexually assaulted.  The only significant injury detected was a fracture to her finger which could have been caused by a fall - or by punching someone.

There are further details in yesterday's Guardian newspaper.  It explains why the police now think she was murdered.

"DCI Adam Harland, who is leading the investigation, told the Guardian last year that two factors had made police treat it as a murder – the fact that she had not been reported missing to police and that her body was moved."

“As soon as you’ve got a dead body in your house, you’ve got to explain why it’s there,” he said. “So when a body is moved it’s usually indicative of the fact that the person who killed them had a close relationship with them.”

It has also been reported that British police officers are planning to come to Thailand to interview the dead woman's family and friends, but there is no mention of interviewing the husband - yet.
