Figures revealed under the UK's Freedom of Information Act reveal that fourteen people suffered rape or sexual assault in Thailand last year. In addition there were a further 18 victims of assault and 25 of theft.

EL PASO, Texas (Reuters) - Hundreds of migrants are being held in a chain-link enclosure in El Paso, Texas, as the number of families crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in the city overwhelms U.S. Border Patrol facilities, the agency said on Thursday.

Tourist transport vehicle parking woes in Phuket Old Town bring more changes

PHUKET: The issue of taxis, tuk-tuks and buses commandeering parking spaces and causing traffic congestion around Wat Mongkol Nimit on Dibuk Rd in the Phuket Old Town area came to ahead again this week, with local officials now forcing drivers of transport vehicles to either park inside the temple, or just drop of for pick up their passengers in front of the temple and then move on.

118 taxi drivers fined for alleged passenger-cheating offences

A total of 118 taxi drivers around the Royal Grand Palace area in Bangkok have been arrested and fined up to Bt1,000 for allegedly cheating passengers, especially foreign tourists, police said on Friday.

Murder suspect surrenders to police

PHUKET:-- Police are investigating the death of a 71-year-old Austrian man known to have been suffering late-stage prostrate cancer who is believed to have jumped from the roof of a 14-story hotel in Patong earlier today (Mar 29).
