So far it looks like there will be no Medical Marijuana grown in Thailand this year for Thai's.

I really think that people (especially 20yos from uk and north america) think overnight weed stores will be as popular as coffee shops in thailand. As much as I think that would be epic like in the USA particularly Seattle, San Francisco and Denver it ain't going to happen here any time soon. I got my rec in California but am forced to respect Thai law while I am here

It's a shame that the Thais seem to want to delay the cultivation of medical quality cannabis. While they procrastinate, other more forward thinking nations will fill the void. 

Thailand isn't going to see marijuana supply shops popping up like Starbucks all over the place, but the time for a serious and controlled national growing operation for medicinal purposes is way past.  There are many people out there with the knowledge and connections to make this an all round benefit to the country.

They don't want to delay it.

But there is a squabble of competition over who will stand to garner the proceeds and that is having the inintended effect of causing delay.
