Another threat. Another climb down. God save us from this totally inadequate man. By the time he and his kids are through looting the White House, we'll be lucky if the silverware and china is left in place.

No worries, the China will be bigger.

He floats out his ideas, gets feedback, and adjusts when appropriate. As any great leader would.

When the tears subside, his detractors will realize that once again, Trump played a blinder. Now the Mexicans will now think twice about sending these constant migrant caravans up towards the border - for fear that he will indeed close the border.

And, they will gladly pay for the wall ????

Yeah, right, because it isn't like the dems did a big back down on the idiocy of the NGD.

It is not about what the dems did. That is ancient history.

The books and movie rights are already in the production line.

And it will reveal the few silly moments during that era.

What you fail to understand is that we are dealing with Now. Not Yesterday.

And the incumbent is making silly and laughable statements, and back flipping better than an acrobat.

This is not the stable economic platform the leaders of business need or want.

What you demand from a leader is consistent and achievable leadership.

And all done from his twit account.

Imagine trying to be a member of his staff, ducking, dodging, weaving and mostly retreating. What a solo leader

Perhaps 45's continuing and increasingly bizarre (and that takes a lot) erratic behavior on his absurd threat to close the border is yet another symptom. Americans would be wise to get to the real oranges of the problem at hand.

Trump is unraveling before our eyes. He isn’t fit for reelection.

Border closing content on 2nd paragraph from the end of the linked article.

Fresh signs of Trump’s unfitness have emerged. How can Democrats deal with this?

There’s a deep disconnect, or even a pathology of sorts, festering at the core of the Trump administration’s response to the humanitarian crisis at the southern border.

The thing is even if you concede every single thing in that article as fact, the dems still make him look sane.

The same old tactic used by Trump supporters when cornered. Namelly who's cares about facts? Trump is going to win anyway. The intellectual equivalent of sticking out your tongue and saying Naaa Na Na Naaa Naaa.

Again that's basically good enough of a reply to anything you post. I discuss things with a few people here and you aren't really amongst them. Have a nice day.

I like to think if I didn't have a valid response to a critique, I wouldn't invent excuses about my lack of a reasoned reply.

I accept that is your POV, but that is the POV of only hard core 45 base people. About 35 percent of Americans. Good luck reelecting with just that.

Surprise, surprise.

Trump backs off threat to close border, capping a week of retreats

President Trump backed away from his threat to shut down the country’s southern border, but vowed to impose additional tariffs on automobiles in a year — if Mexico doesn’t do more to stop the flow of drugs and immigrants.

“We’re going to give them a one-year warning, and if the drugs don’t stop or largely stop, we’re going to put tariffs on Mexico and products, particularly cars,” Trump said Thursday. “The whole ballgame is cars.”

If you don't, I'm gonna:

Shut down the Mexican border . . . in a year. Maybe.

Take out Obamacare . . . after 2020.

Put up full tariffs against China . . . in 2025.

Leave Syria in a week . . . make that a year, no never!

Everything Donald Trump touches is in shambles.

Trump administration nearly doubles H-2B guest visa program, which brings many Mexican workers

As President Trump threatened to shut down the U.S.-Mexico border in recent days, his Department of Homeland Security nearly doubled the number of temporary guest worker visas available this summer.

The Homeland Security and Labor departments plan to grant an additional 30,000 H-2B visas this summer on top of the 33,000 they had already planned to give out, the agencies confirmed.

The H-2B visa allows foreign workers to come to the United States legally and work for several months at companies such as landscapers, amusement parks or hotels.

What President is it who has extensive interests in golf courses and hotels, has not put his holdings in a blind trust, and stands to profit mightily from this increase?

On top of it, most of illegal immigrants are people who overstay after their visa expires. ????
