That would indeed be the solution, but the MER has been trying for some 10 years or so, but to no avail. Ideologies are generally difficult to impossible to crack. I think you have a long waiting game. Better chance putting your money on the Grand National today.

Popular Post geoffbezoz
And as it is up to the EU to not only agree to a further delay, but if they do so, the length of such a further delay, then the EU could well give the UK 2 years if the UK were to be lucky enough. That would ensure that a timely general election could be undertaken followed consequently by a further referendum where all of the pros and cons could be provided to the British public, rather than the lies and fear campaign that happened in 2016. 1 1

Why are they changing their mind? Maybe there are some reasonable people, like Tusk, who wants to be fair to all the British people and genuinely feels sorry for them having to rely on the crock-of-shit parliament has been shown to be. There are some opportunists who want to grab anything going for themselves - like the French. There are some who hate Britain's influence and power in the EU, and it's mostly close EU relationship with Germany, and jealously covert that position for themselves - the French. And of course there are 39 billion reasons maybe everyone wants a nice outcome - apart from the French because they aren't a net contributor and expect Germany to pay if the UK doesn't !????

Indeed. That should have been the challenge. But no, some small minded conservative thinking types would rather take their bat and ball home because they don't like it when they can't make all the rules to suit themselves.

Of course they do and in the long term no doubt. Get a brexiteer in charge so we can really negotiate. I wont be surprised if they give us an extension but not allowed in the elections. JRM is right. Thanks for the post as it really shows the mess TM has put us in and how treacherous she is. JRM right - a right wing upper class toff anachronism whose already made millions for his business exploiting the situation he helped create! Bexiter negotiating a better deal - because the UK holds all the card 5555! Delusion taken to new highs!

sawadee1947
Probably this is the end of a story how to leave the club. UK will have to face a long lasting membership with EU. Brexiteers, don't complain. You got a government and a parliament you deserve. Maybe an IQ test prior to elections would be appropriate.

Every member eu state telling the brussels jobsworths to <deleted> off?Every member country who is not a subdidy junkie with-holding their monthly subs?Sending in eg..British, German Special Forces Units to " retire " them?Answers on a postcard please.
