The eu have continually said that they would not allow an extension beyond the 12th April (unless uk MPs agree to their deal).

Why are they changing their mind?

Seems like you were wrong about this too:

Good luck with the hard Brexit - you will certainly need it. I do feel bad though for my Brit friends and for young people who did not vote for this monumental eff-up and have to live with the consequences.

For you Brexiteers: Som nam nah!

Help me out Brexiteers.   Isn’t this the bit where the EU is supposed to be begging the UK?

In principle the EU is a great institution, but needs major reform, the reasons why 52% voted to leave are many fold and I wanted to see us remain and tackle the bureaucracy and inequalities from within.

That would indeed be the solution, but the MER has been

trying for some 10 years or so, but to no avail.

Ideologies are generally difficult to impossible to crack.

I think you have a long waiting game. Better chance putting

your money on the Grand National today.

How would you explain the increasing number

of Eurosceptics within the EU?

And as it is up to the EU to not only agree to a further delay, but if they do so, the length of such a further delay, then the EU could well give the UK 2 years if the UK were to be lucky enough. That would ensure that a timely general election could be undertaken followed consequently by a further referendum where all of the pros and cons could be provided to the British public, rather than the lies and fear campaign that happened in 2016.

When did I hear that before? Just a minor delay I guess, same as the first 350 million for the NHS.

Maybe there are some reasonable people, like Tusk, who wants to be fair to all the British people and genuinely feels sorry for them having to rely on the crock-of-shit parliament has been shown to be.

There are some opportunists who want to grab anything going for themselves - like the French.

There are some who hate Britain's influence and power in the EU, and it's mostly close EU relationship with Germany, and jealously covert that position for themselves - the French.

And of course there are 39 billion reasons maybe everyone wants a nice outcome - apart from the French because they aren't a net contributor and expect Germany to pay if the UK doesn't !????

Anyone who believes May is really trying to Leave the EU is kidding themselves. She's a Remainer. There's no way out of the EU. Just ask the French, the Danes and the Irish.

Indeed. That should have been the challenge. But no, some small minded conservative thinking types would rather take their bat and ball home because they don't like it when they can't make all the rules to suit themselves.

I hope you are right, but I fear there is still a chance that we could crash out on 12 April, by accident.  Scary times.

That would be great news but I am not celebrating yet as TM the woman who has lied even more than Tony Blair will do everything to keep the UK in the EU IMO.

Of course they do and in the long term no doubt. Get a brexiteer in charge so we can really negotiate.

I wont be surprised if they give us an extension but not allowed in the elections. JRM is right.

Thanks for the post as it really shows the mess TM has put us in and how treacherous she is.

JRM right - a right wing upper class toff anachronism whose already made millions for his business exploiting the situation he helped create!

Bexiter negotiating a better deal - because the UK holds all the card 5555!

Delusion taken to new highs!

Well, It might give you an alternative view from the

official establishment narrative. We must question

everything we are told or sold, particularly anything

from the UK gov.  Got yer doh on a gee gee yet, I'm

going for a rank outsider, better winnings.

On purpose & great :clap2:

Probably this is the end of a story how to leave the club.

UK will have to face a long lasting membership with EU.

Brexiteers, don't complain. You got a government and a parliament you deserve. Maybe an IQ test prior to elections would be appropriate.

Exactly HOW do you get rid of them.
A Revolution??
Every member eu state telling the brussels jobsworths to <deleted> off?
Every member country who is not a subdidy junkie with-holding their monthly subs?
Sending in eg..British, German Special Forces Units to " retire " them?

Answers on a postcard please.

Mr.Becker..

I call a spade a spade..that's the way I am

Nice to see you're classy enough not to use ethnic slurs. You sure are a prime example of how the most shrill Brexiteers have the moral high ground.

Well

With France and Germany teetering into recession..Italy an economic basket case..ditto Greece..riots in France..disgraceful umemployment figures..Spain..Greece..Italy and other eu countries.
Not a lot of nice reading is the above.
Meanwhile the UK's economy is doing OK..low unemployment levels..no riots like France..etc etc.
Just wait until next month's mep elections..the afD..the french and italian equivilant party's, anti immigration party's from other eu country's will run amok.
When all said and done..the words of the late infamous jean monnet will be consigned to the RUBBISH BIN BIG TIME.

Yours, a proud Unionist and Royalist Brexiteer.

Wrong..rip the eu

A year's 'flextension' seems the most probable outcome to me.
I would expect the May Govt to fall in the near future
New elections and everything is up for grabs.

RIP Brexit

Calling a French person a "froggie" isn't calling "a spade a spade", it's a childish slur.
