Zero alcohol beer, how popular is that stuff? Is it going to increase the government coffers much,  doubt it.

Increase the tax on Phuket development, that'll do it.

Keep death on the road then, by killing off the incentive to buy non-alcoholic beverages.

Taxing non alcoholic drinks is an example of Thailand's bizarre form of reverse psychology.

But I really doubt they have the ability to think that deeply so it must have been a quick decision formed after a seafood buffet lunch by a committee comprised of local beverage companies and willing government officials.

Surely drinking alcohol is far more of a health worry than non alcoholic beer! They should be encouraging people to drink non alcoholic beer to avoid increasing rate of alcoholism and drink driving, not increasing the cost. Absolutely crazy thinking by an illegitimate government obsessed with making money on anything and everything to pay for military killing machines!
