farangsay
It's probably fairly anal to even bring up this subject but.... I often use the "My assistant" menu to find one of my recent posts and , out of curiosity , checked the top 20 posters of the day. It seemed to credit me with more posts than I remembered making. I put this down as in direct correlation with finding more empty Chang bottles than I remembered drinking. Today I noticed that the front runner had a 3 digit post count for the day. This surprised me so I did the research. Using the search function I came up with 13 posts for me (including "today" and "yesterday") against the 19 listed in the top 20. When I did "superposter" I found 6 against a score of 114 in the top 20. Somebody stuffing the ballot here? Tea money? Do we have Thaksinite stay-behinds vote rigging just to keep their hand in? The Dan Sai Kid
erm, I do believe you are referring to me! I was quite surprised when I saw how much I had posted. I have a laptop and keep my computer on the coffee toable - so I post while I'm watching TV. I guess if I had a computer desk I wouldn't post so much. Would anyone like to have a whip-round to get me a computer desk?
farangsay
over 100 posts in a day is wonder what the all time record for a 24 hr period is ............................ Interesting how someone can read a post and totally misunderstand it. The bod only actually achieved 6 posts , not 114. Try running your finger along the lines. Totster
Ok, There was a topic a long time ago discussing this, but can't find it. As far as I know the daily post count is worked out on a 24hr rolling basis per poster, what I mean is that it doesn't start at a set time for everyone. (like midnight Thai time for example) When the 24hr period for Dan Sai Kid reaches the point where he was inactive (sleeping etc..) you will see his post count drop dramatically. As I can't remember exactly I may have not explained it properly, but thats the best I can do for now. totster

tuky
I really do not know how this works and I have thought about if for some years. I may post 15 times today, 5 times tomorrow and then 15 times the next day but my post count will read 20+ on that next day, I have yet to work out how it is done. We need G to explain this to us. Perhaps it is an average of the posts made rather than the number...a ratio, who knows. But if I post a lot tonight, I will remain in the top post count for the next fews if I continue posting a couple of posts a day until I slip quietly out. There is no rigging... kayo
I just read elsewhere that the main time on the forum is Thai time, hence those of us in different time zones, or across a date line somewhere, will likely be affected as we fall on either side of Thaitime's 24 hour period. Seems pretty straight forward. I had similar things happen, more so when I lived in guatemala (bigger time differential, 13 hours I think it was) and some days would show me as posting over a hundred posts.. when in reality, it were on.ly about 70 on one day, and actually the next day I'd post 70+ but thailand would switch to a new day somewhere after my 30th post....
