The administrator of a Facebook group SWD Kapamilya Thailand (has more than 30,000 Filipino members), Ernest Rey Basilio Salarza (aka. Rhey Keen Ayala), was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) in Bangkok after the court issued an arrest warrant.

Asia-Pacific economies to slow, Thailand’s growth rate lower than regional average: World Bank projection

Economic growth in developing East Asia and the Pacific is projected to soften to 6 per cent in 2019 and 2020, down from 6.3 per cent in 2018, largely reflecting global headwinds and a gradual policy-guided slowdown in China, the World Bank said on Wednesday.

No bacteria contamination found in Bangkok’s drinking water dispensers

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has announced it found no bacteria contamination during checks on the city’s coin-operated drinking water dispensing machines. The finding comes amid public concern about the higher rate of bacteria growth during the hot season.

PHUKET: Police are continuing their hunt for American American Chad Elwartowski, 46, and his Thai partner Supranee Thepdet, who as of yesterday had been tracked to the southern island of Tarutao, on the Malaysian border, police have confirmed.

100 swept up in post-gang fight raid on Pattaya Beach

Police swept up street thugs and prostitutes after gangs brawled on Pattaya Beach.


About 100 Pattaya, Tourist and Immigration police officers, soldiers and volunteers blanketed the Pattaya shoreline April 22 to restore order after four gang-bangers left one dead and three bleeding in the street the day before, causing panic among tourists.

Armed forces told not to train conscripts under scorching sun
