My 1 year Non-O from Savannakhet is expired, and I am currently on a simple 30 day permission to stay. American Citizen.

Im debating on going to either Savannakhet again, or HCMC but since my last day falls on a weekend it would force me to stay in a hotel for extra days and I dont really feel like wasting the money.

Couple of questions:

If the last day of my permission to stay noted in my passport stamp is the 27th, does that mean I can depart Thailand on the 27th or does that mean I have to depart Thailand on the 26th?

Are the requirements for a 1 year multiple entry Non-O based on marriage the same in HCMC as they are in Savannakhet - IE no financial proof required?

I am extremely close to a land border crossing with Cambodia, if I do a border hop, how many days will they give me? Another 30 days permission to stay or 15 days permission to stay?

Why not pay 1900 baht and extend your 30 day visa exemption stamp?

Would I need to do a border run? Or just go to my local immigration office within Thailand?

Cool Ill probably do that then its easier.

Can anyone answer my other questions though? Departure Dates and HCMC requirements? Ill need to do this regardless before I go back to work.

You have until 11:59pm on the date of your expiry to pass immigration.

You can only pay to extend once.

You would get 30 days at the land crossing, but I believe you can only do this twice in a calendar year.

Can anyone tell me what the hours are for Chong Chom Immigration office?

Chong Chom is a border crossing.

The Surin immigration office is located in Kap Choeng. Like most other offices it is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Closed for lunch 12 to 1.
