Popular Post Puchaiyank
Have you had a once in a lifetime experience? An experience you can not get out of your mind? Baggio Philippines circa 1967...friends and I trekked to first Baggio for 1 day and then drive on up to the mountains to get some great pics of the rice terraces... While in Baggio city, I was going through the little shops that lined the main road when I encountered a young teen sitting at a desk in the back of a shop doing her school homework...when she looked up and our eyes met...I literally melted...I felt a wave of warmth flood my body and it left a forever impression in my mind...I was probably 22 years old at the time...and I have never felt such an immediate and intense attraction ever again...is that what they call love at first sight? Long story short I moved on the next day...have long forgotten what she looked like...but will never forget the experience...

Popular Post Wilsonandson
First time you go to Issarn. Now that's a unique experience. Woken up at 4 in the morning by the crowing of hungry cockerals. Washing your body in a concrete outhouse with iron roof. Drinking the local rain water. Eating fish the size of gold fish. Laying around in the shade playing cards with the old women chewing beetle nut. Watching the young farm hand climb up the coconut tree and machete the nuts down to the ground. In the afternoon having all the village kids stare at you, some touching you to see if your real. Listening to the commotion going on as the men watch boxing on the television. At night banging on the door of the local shop at 8pm for another beer because they shut early every night. Yep, it's quite an experience not just for me but for them too.Sent from my SM-A700FD using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app 4

dotpoom
Many years ago I was in a restaurant with about 7 others having a meal. There was two guys next to me chatting together like they were friends. I overheard one saying to the other..."I'm sorry I ignored you yesterday, I hope you weren't offended"..."No problem" said the other guy..."I wasn't hurt....but my Ego sure as hell was"...then they both laughed together. To this day I give a lot of thought to the meaning behind that statement...a lot of food for though there.
Popular Post Kerryd
Once in a lifetime ? Perhaps. Many of these memories I'll probably never experience again. Some I hope I never experience again. Standing on the pyramids in Egypt. Standing in the middle of Angkor Wat. Standing in the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. Re-enacting the Devil's Brigade WW II landings in the Aleutian Islands as a young army private. Being shot at (a few times) while on a peacekeeping mission in Croatia in '92/93. Having my work truck blown to pieces by a Taliban rocket barely 75 meters from where I was sitting in my room in 2011. Still lots of time to add some new "once in a lifetime" memories though. Might not find any Japanese Twins in Thailand, but you never know..........
Popular Post sensei
I was sitting inside Swensen's about 14 years ago. A year before that, an illegal agent told me that all I had to do was give her some USD300 and fly in and I will have teaching jobs waiting for me and all I needed to do was select the one that i like. I was told that I would be hard pressed to select the one for me because of all the options available. Well that did not happen. She was just searching for job online and had me and a lot of other hopefuls to walk in to schools and submit my resume. Yes, I got suckered in and was left with no option but to try my luck this way. A few weeks passed and nothing happened. I was running out of money. I was just sitting there at Swensen's and I was not even having ice cream at all. A high school student approached me and for whatever reason gave me a yellow balloon. There is no reason why a high school student would give a middle age man a yellow balloon on a plastic stick so I looked at her and asked, "Is this for me?" she just said yes and went on her way. I was sitting there holding the balloon thinking of what just happened when my phone rang. A school in the far north needs a teacher to start ASAP. I am not superstitious nor religious at all. As a matter of fact, it is difficult for me to believe in luck. but this one is hard for me to explain. I got the job and i kept the balloon for many years until the rubber melted into my luggage where I kept it. Tomorrow would be my 14th year in Thailand. I still remember that day like it just happened yesterday.
Popular Post Ulic
Spending 7 months sailing across the South Pacific with a buddy on his boat. Blue waters, starry nights, the bioluminescence sparkling everwhere when pissing off the side of the boat at night, beautiful islands, crystal clear diving. Loved it, and recommend it to everyone who enjoys reading and the quiet life. Sailing is living proof you can't die of boredom.

milwaukeeboy
The OP is describing an event of overwhelming lust caused by natural male horniness due to the testosterone hormone. (This type of event is today described as "toxic masculinity by some). In extreme instances, it gives a huge jolt of adrenaline. I think it happens to most of us except those of us who consume a lot of soy.

My liveaboard holiday in the Maldives was one of the best experiences of my life, albeit not life-changing. My most 'life-changing' experience was a short trip to Kenya as part of a teachers' educational trip visit to encourage school trips..... It made it very clear how lucky we are, and how unlucky are so many people in that region.☹️

Popular Post Laza 45
Signing on to a Norwegian freighter when I was 18 (1963).. It was hauling raw logs from Canada & the US to ports in Japan. We sailed a great circle route that took us up to the Aleutian islands and down to the Inland Sea of Japan. Japan was a very poor country at that time but rich in culture... There were so many experience on this journey I couldn't possible recount them all here.. but.. seeing a Japanese temple on a headland at sunset is etched in my mind, the amazing friendship and generosity of the Japanese people has stayed with me to this day. We were kicked out of port because a storm was brewing.. we spent several days being knocked around by a typhoon.. Seeing 'Portuguese man o'war'.. millions of them as far as the eye could see out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.. bioluminescence too in the wake of the ship.. This was the beginning of a lifetime of travel. It was also my first encounter with pottery.. there were many shops selling beautiful pots in every village. On later journeys I loved the pots in Mexico & Tunisia and I ended up working as a studio potter in Australia for 25 years! My life has been one long memorable incredible journey. And here I am now in Thailand going into my 13th year with a beautiful wife and step daughter..
