Swiss man found dead at Hua Hin hill

A 57 year old Swiss national has been found dead after apparently slipping while out walking. 

 

The decomposing body of Philipp Leonhard Halter was found in the area of the temple of Wat Khao Sanam Chai on Petchkasem Road in Nong Kae sub-district. 

 

He had been dead for 4 - 5 days and monks at the temple had noticed his motorcycle left near there for several days and then noticed a bad smell emanating from the hilly area. 

 

Several days ago the victim's  girlfriend Wilawan Warachina, 42, had reported him missing from their home in Hua Hin Soi 102. 

 

She was concerned as he was suffering from depression. 

 

But a search failed to turn up any leads. 

 

Police think that Mr Halter slipped while out walking. 

 

An autopsy is being undertaken at the police hospital.

So he was depressed, another sad case. RIP. 

 

 

Yes, if you are depressed, you need to be careful of slipping, or falling, the icy roads will get you everytime. Perhaps will be chalked as a suicide?

He slipped over and died....

Nothing to do with being hit from behind and robbed.

Got no idea what happened this poor fella.

falling though and hitting the head hard on the ground can kill you instantly.

ive seen this a few times and just a seemingly innocent fall and it’s all over. Sorry for his Swiss family n Thai missus????

Hua Hin is such a small place while I never met this gentleman I recognized him right away from seeing him around town.

Ah...yes...the ‘slipping’ death. The demise of legend.

It is confirmed another Farang has died in Hua Hin at Tabiab Beach which is very near my house.

 

It is believed he drowned. Photo shows him dead in shallow water on the beach in a swimsuit. 

 

He has not been Identified as he was not carrying ID. White male, 50-65, 6ft. tall, over weight.  

 

This is not a rumor as there are photos posted.

Autopsy no, wife him declared depressed, when your wife said you are depressed with someone go very careful you health is a danger or not....

Be to way, foreigner dead normally the Thai authority make autopsy
