Anyone know this trees ?

Featured Replies

I've got some plants accidentally growing in my little garden, the first looks like a potentially big tree, grown on some crack of the concrete, the second is a shrub, which is oddly thriving at the base of the bamboo, a hard place to survive for any other plants.

Is there anyone here who recognize them ?

just chop them of at ground level or pull them out by hand if possible. They are weeds.

"they are weeds" is not exactly the answer i was looking for, but thanks for taking the time to post.

The yellow flower is Ixora.

The small tree looks like a potentially large tree. One of the parasitic type trees or the ones that throw their roots down such as the Bo tree maybe.

Thanks ! Will check "Ixora", and i was also thinking the other one could be a variety of "Ficus", it looks extremely resilient.

If you do a search for images of small Bo tree you will see some small trees growing in cement cracks. They look very similar to yours.

It seems you are right, looks like a Bodhi tree, feeling lucky today ????

It's about 12 years old, the trunk at the base is about 5cm.
