Hi

We live in Chayaphum and looking to take a weeks break in CM near the end of May

Looking for a hotel around 2k/night near the night market. Somewhere with a bit of life and decent facilities.

If anyone can recomend somewhere it would be much appreciated.

You might try the Imperial Mae Ping hotel or the Duangtawan hotel. Both have websites you can visit to check them out. 

Book it online and it will be cheapest. D-2, Duangtawan and many within a 15 minute walking distance. Le Meridian you probably could get for 2500 -3000 but well worth it. Problem is many of these are filled with Chinese and the buffets can be trying as there are no manners used.
