Renewing U.S VISA for Thai Wife

Hello,

    Im hoping someone whose spouse has renewed their U.S Visa via mail can help me by answering my questions. (I inquired my questions with the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok via their site but the answers I got from them were vague)

I'm a U.S citizen born and grew up in the U.S (Hawaii) and currently residing here in Thailand. My Thai wifes U.S VISA will expire this coming October and was informed by the U.S Embassy in Bangkok that my wife is able to renew her U.S VISA by mail as she qualifies for this. 

My questions are:

1) My kids, wife and I usually visit back home to Hawaii every year about April but for next year, only I will go. Will need a flight date as we don't have our flights booked yet for 2021.

2) Via the U.S Embassy site, my wife is referred to fill out the D-160 form online. For renewing U.S VISAs, is this the correct form?

3) If the D 160 for is the correct form, I saw a part of it requesting for a photo of my wife, does she take the photo via the computer we are filling out the form on?
