Hello people,

I would like to extend my SETV at Chaengwattana and I heard that they might ask for a TM30 slip given by my hostel. Has anyone got experience with his already?

1) When I check in to the hostel, what should I tell the receptionist? Will they know what I am talking about and what I exactly need?

2) Can they provide this slip immediately after check-in? Or does it take longer?

3) How does this slip look like? I don't want to go with the wrong document and get turned away.

Can any of you write it down in Thai for me to show to the hostel receptionist what I need?

Thanks in advance.

Looking forward to your replies.

Good day!

They may be doing them online. If they do that immigration will have a record of it in their database. Here is the title of form.

Top of receipt that is at the bottom of the form.

If they do that online...

1) How do I know they did it?

2) Then I don't need the slip from them?

3) So do I need to fill out any form, or I just get the slip from them and that's it?

I just need to be sure because I want to do my extension in a few days.

Thank you.

Recent reports indicate TM30 is not enforced at Chaengwatthana for tourist visa holders.

That sounds good. So then I will just try to get my extension without this TM30 hassle but if I get turned away then I would have to talk to the hostel receptionist.
