webfact
Man arrested for snatching gold necklace from Hua Hin train passenger Picture: Talk News online A 66 year old was arrested on Wednesday for stealing jewelry and a handbag from a woman on a train. The victim was a passenger on a southern bound train from Bangkok. Police say Thadet Samran, from Phetchaburi, boarded the train and snatched the gold necklace and handbag from the unsuspecting passenger. Thadet then jumped from the train shortly after it left Hua Hin train station. Thadet later sold the 1 baht gold necklace for 18,000 baht at a nearby gold shop. Police say Thadet is known to them and has committed similar offences on multiple occasions and has also served time for theft. He is known to target women travelling alone trains, particularly elderly females wearing gold necklaces. Police suspect there are many more victims, and those victims are urged to contact officers at Prachuap Khiri Khan Police Station. Well cops, don't you think it's about time he had the book thrown at him properly with a lengthy jail stint as he obviously has little other than contempt for others? Should know better at that age too. Guess doing some work is out of the question then for this elderly oxygen thief.

observer90210
Interesting to note that smoking on a beach can get people more jail time in Thailand then a regular common crime !
