DUBAI/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States on Friday blamed Iran for attacks on two oil tankers at the entrance to the Gulf and said it was seeking international consensus about the threat to shipping, despite Tehran denying involvement in the explosions at sea.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday reversed course over whether he would report foreign interference in a political campaign to U.S. law enforcement, telling Fox News in an interview he would "of course" contact authorities.

BANGKOK, 14 June 2019(NNT) - The spread of dengue fever outside Bangkok is still of concern, as 140 dengue patients have so far been found within Nakhon Si Thammarat City Municipality; meanwhile Nan City Municipality has conducted preventive operations at local schools destroying mosquito breeding spots after a recent fatality from the disease.

Nine agencies take part in Dengue control

BANGKOK, 14 June 2019(NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health, has signed cooperative agreements with eight agencies on environmental and dengue control, on the occasion of ASEAN Dengue Day. It’s feared the dengue situation this year will be more critical than last year. Already, almost 30,000 people have had dengue fever so far this year.

Premier orders probe into Rohingya refugees arriving in Satun

BANGKOK, 14 June 2019(NNT) - Local authorities have found a group of Rohingya refugees on Ravi island off Satun province. They have been looking for boat refugees on any other islands off the southern province. Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered an investigation into the boat’s arrival and has arranged humanitarian aid.

Thailand’s dengue fever cases “double the five year average” – epidemic declared

The Department of Disease Control on Friday has declared a dengue fever epidemic this year. From Jan 1 to June 11 this year there has already been 28,785 reported cases and 43 deaths from the mosquito-borne virus.
