The only way out of this mess is for a General Election with parties making their Brexit policy clear.

Yes, and that's the problem for the Tories and the Labor Party.

Ideas??? Plans??? - Nothing/zero; lame ducks.

Only the normal general political BlaBla. That's the agenda of both parties. Miserable.

I think the only thing you'll hear from Brexiteers on here is the desire for parliament to do the democratic thing and carry out the wishes of the people ie the ones who won the referendum. You see, that's why democracy was installed in most countries in the world in the first place. You'll never get all the people to agree all the time, therefore a system called democracy was instituted, where everyone had a vote and whoever got the most votes was the winner. Of course, for this system to work, the losers must accept that they lost, which has been the case until recent times. Now, here and in the US, the remainers and the left no longer seem to want to accept this. This is a very dangerous situation because democracy only works providing the losing sides are willing to concede defeat. When they don't, like at present, it could lead to a complete breakdown of democracy. One thing I think is certain, if Brexit doesn't happen, I for one and I'm sure many others will lose complete faith in the British system of voting. A system, which until recently, has been a template for the rest of the world.

is that the same system where a winning party can can get 35% of all votes counted and beat a party that gets 40% or more.a think the template is broke pal

Sky's press preview pointed out this morning that Raab took some flack in the absence of the only other Brexit candidate and let's not forget just how biased last nights hosts (Ch4 news) have been since the referendum.

surely even more reason for Boris to show up then.  says something when the his tutors dont want him to even open his gob in fear of him making a balls of it.

If Boris becomes PM I think he will end up becoming the shortest

reigning PM in history with the way he conducts himself, it's just

a matter of time.

I don't know, I think it will make things well balanced with a blond buffoon on both sides of the pond.

I think it would be fair to say that anyone with a leftist persuasion would say that Channel 4 and the BBC are not biased, when they are embarrassingly biased.

if boris had turned up it would of been 3 from each side,

And if 70% would now prefer to remain is it democracy to follow through with the vote from the referendum no matter what?

In the context of choosing a new PM, the only people to get a choice are the Tory MP's and then when down to 2 candidates the Tory party membership - seen this quoted as 124k and 160k members.

It seems to be the Brexiter element in this small group of people who are keen on Boris. Says a lot about their judgment!

Not really. It says more about your judgement of other people.

Would you say that no remainers are interested in Boris Johnson as the new PM?

T May is a quisling..a sociopath imo.
" quite a few " etc...imo there will be a lot more than that..also the Brexit Party's coffers will swell as former tory financial backers will throw their money instead at the Brexit Party.
Very interesting times ahead.

Why would they bother investing in the brexit party if Johnson wins the leadership

campaign? He has already stated that brexit will happen in October.

Have you seen the way the BBC go after Corbyn? They are absolutely determined to get after

him at every opportunity, which is quite odd for a leftist institution. I'm pretty sure they would

prefer 10 years of Boris to 10 minutes of Corbyn

I would say the beeb were fairly liberal and centrist. Only a far right thinking person

would confuse liberalism with leftism.

I agree. I think that leaping to a conclusion that media of all sorts (Even including even far left or far right websites) are biased if we don't agree with them is unwise, the answer is always to look at the facts. The fact that sticks in my mind is that Farage has been on QT 33 times!

In the fullness of time the Brexit party will finish this job before adopting a new name and morphing into a suitable replacement for the Tories in a post-brexit universe.

They’ll need to come up with some policies first.

Let’s kick that off by asking Farage about how he sees the future of the NHS and the provision of healthcare in the UK.

Why do people keep bringing the National Health into arguments, it is totally dysfunctional, throwing money down the NHS bottomless pit will solve nothing, it wants pulling down and rebuilding. It is not fit for purpose, the amount of money the tax payer spends on it, they certainly deserve better.

All the NHS is a political pawn to win general elections, if somebody can make it more efficient, do you really have a problem with efficiency?

It was Brexiteers who brought the NHS into the crock of Brexit.

The Leave campaigners knew them and know now that the future of the NHS is one the most important political issues in UK politics.

Farage’s views on the matter are political toxic, which is why I’d like to see him forced to discus them.

The proof is in the pudding.
Lets see if..
1. Boris becomes pm
2. What kind of Brexit he comes up with.

Or if he comes up with any kind of Brexit.

One can never know with Boris the liar and U-turn specialist.

And like anybody else that discusses anything, you are reliant on that person being truthfull, and seeing how much you abhor Nigel Farage my guess is that you wouldn't believe him, whatever he said.
