harvard's very own sat stats seem to strongly contradict his statement.

That makes no sense. The fact that the majority of Harvard entrants have a SAT score above a certain level does not mean it is a fixed requirement for admission.

You might just as well say that because Harvard stats show that the majority of new students are aged 18, that means being 18 is a requirement and that something must be wrong if a person who is not 18 is admitted.

You're also saying that Harvard's own admissions director doesn't know how their admissions criteria work.

in hoggs case its pretty clear they made an sat score exception due to his political agenda

Of course it's not clear. There is no fixed SAT score requirement for Harvard. This is stated on various different websites that give information on college admissions. Here's one such statement from magoosh.com, a site that claims, "We can help you get into your dream school."

There is no absolute minimum SAT score that you need to get into Harvard. Though, considering that Harvard only admitted 4.9% of applicants last year, it’s safe to say that your entire application has to make an impression.

There can't be an exception to something that doesn't exist.

the overwhelming majority have minimum sat scores that are quite high but occasional exceptions are made

.

this is a concept known as reality

just as some/may medical schools may state there is no requirement to have high scores, c grades minimum; the reality is due to another abstract concept called competition there will be very few enrolees accepted with 2.0 on a 4.0 system

jared kushner also attended harvard though academic faculty at his high school said he did not have adequate scores to get accepted.  nothing to do with his family donating 2.5 million dollars to harvard though.

factually you can surmise what the sat scores are for successful undergrads there by simply looking at the numbers.  factually you can say hogg is an exception to the average sat scores of harvard accepted students

i think just about any reasonable person would think hoogs acceptance was based on his political agenda rather than pure academic achievements.
