The were worried about the couple of neighbours they hate? Hate enough to abuse and plaster posters around the street.
"The designated PM is having a domestic, lets call the police. No, let's record it and call The Garuniad, because we are normal and decent leftie activists.

Looking to the houses in this neighbourhoud… these are NOT "decent leftie champagne socialists + activists"

Apart from agreeing with you that none of those types are particularly decent.....

They very definitely are. It’s Remainer central around there. Those ‘houses’ scream chattering classes.
Or are you a secret South London Estate Agent?

The 'concerned' neighbours are left wing activists. The Guardian is a left wing newspaper. This alleged event most likely never happened. Next...

Assuming a call was made and plod did turn up is easy enough, but how can any credibility be given to something allegedly recorded through 6" of brickwork containing the voice of someone who mumbles to the point of barely being understood even when in a studio surrounded by mics and cameras...?

Apart from the fact the Police have confirmed they attended the call, and the fact that there is a recording of the 'Domestic'.

Imagine him with his thumb on the nuclear war button, and have a rethink.

The UK nuclear deterrent doesn't work that way. While the Prime MInister may give the order, he can be overruled by Ministry of Defence officials if they consider consider his order to be unlawful/irrational.This is a simplified version of the position. The point to register is that there are complex and multiple levels of checking.Does this rule out an appalling accident? Probably not but it makes one very unlikely.I don't think the Boris factor is that relevant.

Now confirmed by another neighbour he was worried.

In which case what's stopping you posting it?

Do the Met have a category for ‘Malicious Politically Motivated False Alarm’?

I'm sure they do not.

I'm also sure they do press charges if people are reasonably believed to be waisting police time or filing malicious police reports, politically motivated or otherwise.

If you believe such a crime has been committed file a police report.

The bookies have slashed the odds on Boris becoming PM.

No links added as I believe linking to gambling is an infringement of forum rules, but you can look for yourself.

For those based in the UK, 1/5 odds on is the best you can get on Boris to win, while 4/1 is the best available price for Hunt.

Boris is still a massive favourite to win.

I doubt he is doing it on purpose but no doubt that is his chances to become the most right wing Tory PM ever gone to the wind.  Irrespective of whether he was taped, overheard is beside the point, the fact is it happened and he is staying silent.  In public life even your private life must be beyond reproach in order to gain the confidence of his supporters and the country.  Whilst of course the extreme facist right wing of the party will always support him for the PM's position, irrespective of his misdemeanors, I would seriously suggest that of the 160,000 conservative members entitled to vote , then by far the vast majority will not only be appalled by his antics, they will also consider that he will drag British politics down further, if that is possible.

So its bye bye BJ and hello Johnson I would anticipate.

Rubbish.

Just tried that. Dialled 999 to report and just some woman telling me in Thai the number was not recognised. Do you think they’ll still come for my report?

I suppose there's only so much you can write about a 'Lovers Tiff' unless you are a remainer of course, where they will be telling us that the nations security has been breached because one of them allegedly spilt some red wine on a sofa.

Which is no justification at all.

He should have been more careful when drinking his elitist glass of SodThePlebs Chateaux de Eton. Sod him hopefully there is some unreleased bombshells in the tape awaiting release to keep the drip drip of acid on his campaign. I hope his soon to be ex wife ruins him financially.

Indeed. The Tory electorate completely unbowed by accusations of Boris and female abuse. 1/5 nails the reactionary old grumpies down to the wire.

How about a GE & Farage & Co getting in by 31 Dec 20 if this lot goes tits-up?

(Rhetorical but better odds for a punt!)

Reactionary?? LOL Look it up whydontcha?
Yes, it’s good fortune for the UK that some people retain principles and some concept of sensibility.
Old grumpies are not swayed by mass hysteria of the MSM and Remainerism. No #redwineonmysofatoo around here.

Actually a poll just in suggests that Boris has lost a lot of support over this, a) among all voters with whom he was already unpopular b) among Tory party supporters, and c) even as far as Tory Members are concerned. Of course these are well out of the political mainstream. The following amusing article explains the nature of the TP membership well. (Before some Brexiteers take this literally which happened before, it is a spoof, but makes it's point).

Despite the odds, I think the eventual outcome will be pretty close. I'm guessing a narrow win for Boris.
