THAIPHUKET Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Can you share some parameter of their policies? Sent from my Pixel using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
Lazy Sod Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 I filled in their application form recently, and was honest about being diagnosed with moderately high cholesterol 20 years ago and taking statins ever since (to keep it in normal range). I also mentioned I had moderately high blood pressure (150) for about 2 weeks last year which went ok by itself (normal bp before and ever since with no medication). They have responded saying the following will be exclusions; Heart disease Stroke Any vascular disease So I sent them copies of a recent routine medical report in BKK showing a normal exercise stress test, normal lipid levels and normal blood pressure, etc.. I even visited the cardiologist who did the stress test, she reviewed everything and stated there are absolutely no signs of cardio-vascular disease. I've never spent a day in hospital, never had an operation, never been seriously ill, am fit and healthy, don't smoke, normal BMI, etc. But Aetna responded saying that they insist on the exclusions because high cholesterol is a risk factor for heart disease, told them to forget it. 1
