According to the Remainers we will be doomed after Brexit. Maybe all the immigrants, will Leave us then, with the illegals wishing they had booked a return journey with the trafficers. We'll have to check for them hiding under trucks heading from Dover to Calais!

To think of 'remaining is submission' is a false concept because if brexiteers want a forwatd-looking process then challenge the government to challenge the EU at every turn. I would suggest most remainers would feel the same and act accordingly with you guys.

 

Maybe this is a concept that hasn't even been mentioned on here because it's about working together that gets the best result. Whatever and wherever you come from, you and your fellow Brits want the UK we can all be proud of.

You aren't listening from your soapbox - just like the EU didn't listen when Cameron asked for a few small concessions - but if the EU had allowed those then there probably wouldn't have been a referendum! I'm glad there was one because the result itself showed that it was needed.

 

Even after the recent EU elections, there is still no sign of any group being able to "work together" to bring about any fundamental and radical changes. The succession of treaties reveal the EU's intention to form a "superstate" - any British people who are like me don't want it - it's really that simple. The EU may change but it will almost certainly not be for the better. The EU is only interested in centralising its power.

 

A patient but large number of leavers decided that they wanted out years ago. Then more and more folks gradually came to the same conclusion. Referendums were talked of and promised for years - sentiment for leaving the EU is not a new thing - then, three years ago, finally, we got votes and used them. If you can't accept that, then just accept democracy.

The EU did comply with Cameron's request. He asked if he could restrict EU migrants rights to social security claims. The EU agreed to suspend them for 7 years.

There was a big packet talked about for 3 years:  currency, security, red cards, sham marriages, child benefits, EU budget, waste, migrant benefits. Cameron came back with a little sachet!

 

Three years for zip! So, how are we ever supposed to "negotiate" leaving with these people?

Sorry but they are not the ones living in those sheds.......they have there own homes in Southall Hounslow Slough.....the Poles Serbs Romanins etc etc are in those sheds

And the sheds are owned by Indians. Documentary on it about a year ago. Almost all the landlords were Indian.

Landlords may well have been Indian but the "Tennants" were not,and even if they were they would have had to meet the full Border force requirements for staying here......unlike Eu Migrants.

It will come from where it has always done - off the back of 'white van man'. It's the over population and benefit industry that saps all government funds. Johnny has more than his fair share of that.

I don't disagree, however leaving the EU isn't the way forward. Once outside, Britain would have no influence on whatever the EU instigates - some of which would certainly not be beneficial to the UK.

 

IMO, the Tory government does not have a PLAN - neither do those Leavers who have zero observations on the realities apart from echoing 'ideological propoganda' - but instead threaten a No-deal which would crash the UK out with no transitional period, causing absolute chaos to the economy, foreign investment, sterling, and business. For starters - let alone reintroduction of austerity policies, increased job losses and relocation of UK companies to the EU.

 

Unfortunately that scenario would adversely affect the populace - wait for rationing of meds and higher food costs to take place - and it's a potential doomsday scenario I don't want my family to endure for decades paying for it.

Regain our sovereignty - never lost it, still in place

Not subject to EU laws - which would hardly affect any average man on the street

Control immigration - already in place and enacted, ignoring EU demands, albeit pretty poorly

Make new deals - okay scrap the dozens of existing ones first, makes sense doesn't it?

Leave the single market - hello rationing.

The problem is that it is complicated but they do not want to admit it. On leaving the EU without a formal agreement a multitude of problems arise. The most high profile of these is EASA, they provide aviation certification to members and as the UK will cease to be a member the day the UK leaves, there will be a question mark over over the validity of such certification. The same applies to many other essential agreements. It should be borne in mind that certification issued by EU entities is used by the UK to gain approval in many countries worldwide.

Johnson has shrugged it off by saying the UK will rely on EU cooperation for some time after brexit. In the usual distorted rhetoric he tries to make out that cooperation and legislative agreements are one and the same. He will be telling us next it can all be done on the back of an envelope.

Bottom line here is that "walking away" is nothing more than delusional fantasy.

Just watched his performance in Exeter, quite delusional just tells people what they want to hear, standby for the south west powerhouse.

Still maintaining he can renegotiate the deal with the EU and be out by the end of Oct.
