You miss my point.

I doubt very much Brexit will happen by October 1st. (Actually ever).

I’m looking forward to hearing who Brexiteers will blame, because of course it will have to be somebody else’s fault.

Just maybe it would be something to do with the Remoaners ???

One cannot claim solid or growing support for Brexit when 43,000 people who voted Leave fail to show up to vote for the Brexit Party in a widely publicized by-election.

43,000 is the missing number.

Find that link yet?

So you still don't understand the different dynamics in a UK by-election versus a binary referendum, despite myself and others trying to help you understand. Never mind.

Sorry, what link are you asking me to search for?

Let me tell you, there are abundant, abundant technical fixes that can be introduced to make sure that you don't have to have checks at the border," Johnson said.

Trade experts have expressed scepticism that technology can solve the border problem, at least in the near term.

Last week, Irish foreign minister Simon Coveney said the contenders to become Britain's prime minister had offered solutions "simply not based on reality.

Wishful thinking and fantasy formations.

The loss of reality of some UK politicians is frightening. The development and implementation of such technology takes many years. Just the discussion about the cost distribution would take some years. And next week, the UK is building its first trading post on Mars.

And how long has the EU been looking and preparing for this , knowing that technology can work and preparing for it if a no deal

They admitt ed they can do it, they have the technology to do so, but still keep harping on about a hard border,

Ok Boris. Name the companies that have such a technology, and are able to build something in 130 days. Also the timeline for coordinating discussions with Ireland and the EU. Also information about the investment costs and cost allocations would be nice. Also information about the personal needs and training times for the operator staff.

Otherwise, it is only hot propaganda air al a Boris. I just can not believe that the majority of Britons believe his gibberish.

But if we leave with a no deal, who will impose ant sort of hard or soft border, us or the EU ?

They are already sorting out soft border options because they know a hard border is too expensive and too long a timescale to implement

With imminent climate change affecting Blighty it's a possibility that banana plantations could be grown in Kent to feed the humungus backlog of lorry drivers on the M20 awaiting customs passage into Dover.

so would be a bit like the motorway truck parks that we keep getting while in the EU ??

Will you also supply banana to the French too ?, and all the other countries queuing up in the EU to bring all their goods that they are so desperate to sell to the UK ?

They have already admitted that , yes there will be some delays, but limited delays, and truckers will be using other ports to minimize disruption too

I think that's a fair summation of the Brexiters approach. Don't start thinking about what you want until after you've left. And then when you find out you aren't going to get it...

Sounds like the remoaners too

They keep harping on about how good it is for us in the EU, with no idea what will happen in the next few years if we stay in

Have you read the Lisbon treaty, > do you know what exactly what rights  we are giving up to the EU in the next few years ?

After you left you can make good deals with other nations for sure, by example with Mr. America first or your former colony India which you treated so well. I am sure they all are waiting to make amazing deals with GREAT Britain. Lol.

But at least we wont be licking someones arse while implementing the Lisbon treated that we were never asked about, or offered any say on it either

Remoaners will believe that the EU is gunna think about the poor old brits and make life much cheaper and easier for us all, Wont they ?

They will lower our payments, allow us to make our own laws, allow us fishing rights, allow us to change immigration laws, etc, etc, Wont they ???

Perhaps you could let us know when we, the people of the UK, agreed to these changes, when we were asked if we wanted these changes, and if we were told the truth about these changes ??

Of course not, we have been lied to since day one

This isn't an election and they are having some debates, just not quite as many as the propped-up underdog & supporters are trying to engineer.

Absolutely yes. Jeremy Hunt is desperate to set an agenda, an agenda which will encompass just about bleeding anything but Brexit. He knows that he is not trusted on Brexit by the people whose votes will choose the next leader of the Tory Party.

3 hours ago, stephenterry said:

Point of correction. The democratic majority did not decide to leave.

The Tory government made the decision to leave based on the referendum outcome. Whether that was a democratic decision or not, is debatable. However parliament passed it, and it would be up to parliament to decide what happens next and how it's going to happen. That's democracy at work.

already for 3 years….

It was not WE who agreed to that treaty, but collaborateurs and federasts in our own parliament. Can you not see the parallels?

3 years if you want to be precise. You are coming across as a little cross?

I see you emphasised the "GREAT" there was really no need to, the Romans called us Great Britain, so at best your beef is with the Italians.????????

The name Britain descends from the Latin name for Britain, Britannia or Brittānia, the land of the Britons. Old FrenchBretaigne (whence also Modern French Bretagne) and Middle English Bretayne, Breteyne. The French form replaced the Old English Breoton, Breoten, Bryten, Breten (also Breoton-lond, Breten-lond). Britannia was used by the Romans from the 1st century BC for the British Isles taken together. It is derived from the travel writings of the Pytheas around 320 BC, which described various islands in the North Atlantic as far north as Thule (probably Norway).

Marcian of Heraclea, in his Periplus maris exteri, described the island group as αἱ Πρεττανικαὶ νῆσοι (the Prettanic Isles).[20]  see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Britain

You were never asked? You also were members of the EU parliament. Nothing came surprisingly over you.

Do you really think that a Brexit will lower your personal payments? So many companies leave GB, sometimes with the good paid staff. If these companies and their staff don´t pay taxes anymore, what do you think where the money for the schools, military and whatever will come from? Sure, you have more fishing rights. Fish your UK zone empty and start then to import your fish for the fish & chips. Change your immigration laws (by the way, you are not in the Schengen group, so all the immigration from Africa to Europe never effected you) and send all the people from By example Poland at home. But don´t wonder if your health system breakes down - and it is compared with other western European countries really bad).
UK as a small country wants to make deals with India, USA, China, etc. Alone. Good luck. They know you are under pressure and they will let you know that they know. You need new contracts more than they need. So you´ll make a bad deal.  GB will win a little bit of freedom but will loose so much more. They´ll find out during the next years.

Also in other EU member states agitation worked then.. till the Brexit disaster openen the eyes of many. therefore the Dutch PVV went from 4 to 0 seats in the Euro-Parliament.

Posters from the Netherlands and Sweden had better hope Boris manages to get us out of the EU cult, or their exits could be severely hampered.
