The best thing about Trump is, that even Trump doesn't know what Trump will do next and this is driving the Iranians mad, they can't figure the flucker out and what he will do next, he contradict himself left right and center, however, one one thing he's not wavering on and is that Iran WILL NOT HAVE a nuclear weapons, Period...

And you know he won't waver on this because...?

Lived and worked in Iran...met some very nice people...now have poor excuse for prehistoric leadership...keep'um barefoot, pregnant, and ignorant...our way or highway attitude...we are right and the rest of the world be damned...

And of course Saudi Arabia, on behalf of which this conflict is conducted by the USA, has no archaic leadership and is much more open minded than Iran. At least in Iran, you are allowed to have a bible with you if you want.

Blowing up 3rd party tankers pipelines and shooting down drones is very diplomatic though ????

The only proof on the tanker attacks comes from the USA which is the country causing all the problems in the Gulf.

Sending drones into Iranian airspace is not diplomatic at all.

Israel has nuclear weapons, the USA is transferring nuclear technology to SA, Pakistan, India, China, France, UK and even N Korea has nuclear weapons.

This will end very badly IMHO, and 100% of the blame goes to Trump, Bolton and Pompeo.

With the Iranian rial in the crapper, huge unemployment and  deppining inflation the Iranian people will at some point buckle under pressure and will demand change in leadership, however, the Iranian being crafty and cunning people who invented the Chess game, must understand that Trump will not yield unless they will come to the negotiating table, and even where Iran thinks that they're 100% on the right side, they should still come to talk and listen and maybe give in a little and by doing so, gain a lot...

So...... the only outcome that you envisage is the complete capitulation by Iran... wow... at best, you lack imagination, at worst, your about to keel over from kool aid consumption.

entertaining though, is the thought that Iran “must understand trump”.... lol.... Putin seems to be the only person who understands trump, everyone else has written him off as impulsive and feckless, incapable of acting in good faith and therefore a waste of space.

Your comment “give in a little (to blackmail and economic terrorism) and by doing so, gain a lot...” is grounded in what knowledge or insight? surely it couldn’t be grounded in any of the post WW2 conflicts that Americans have thus far had major leadership roles in, could it

That isn't much of a threat, the USA never did do diplomacy, it's my way or the highway.

Never is a big word. I seem to recall the USA played a part in creating the JCPOA framework. Trump later on withdrawing from the agreement is a fact, but "never" isn't.

And no proof to the contrary, which doesn't stop many posters alleging black flag ops and such. Don't see you get indignant about that. Whether the drone was in Iranian airspace is a matter of contention. That you adopt Iran's version doesn't make it true.

Just a couple of days ago, Iranian officials reiterated that there's no interest in negotiations, talks or any such things with the USA. Leaves the question of whether they were bluffing then, posturing now or just engaging in standard issue conflict-talk. Maybe all three.

That's the first of a three part report series on assets under control of Khamenei, titled Assets of the Ayatollah:

Khamenei controls massive financial empire built on property seizures

One only has to read these to see what that living in Iran under the regime must be a living hell. Hopefully there is a place in hell for Iran's leaders.

Compared to life in Saudi Arabia, if it is hell, it's only the first circle. And Saudi Arabia is one of the chief beneficiaries of US Iran policy.
