bbi1
Does anyone know what type of rashes these are and the cause of them? They've mainly appeared on my hands/fingers and top of the feet and upper leg. Also, do you have any recommendations for good doctors who specialise in rashes at Pattaya Memorial or Pattaya International hospitals or any others close by? What department of a hospital would you go to? Don't know if it's related but I got hit very hard with flu-like symptoms a few days ago. A very bad headache, aches in joints, and a low-grade fever. Fully recovered from it now. The rashes started appearing around the time I had the flu-like symptoms. Also, there's pain on the sides of both thumbs next to the fingernails (one side of the fingernail) if I press them. They are all red in colour too. Same with a couple of other fingers. Also same with the inner side of both heels of the foot, but it's not red. A bit painful when walking with each step. pacovl46
It could be prickly heat rash. I never had it on my hands though. Mainly on my feet due to wearing closed shoes and usually on my back and my legs.
lemonjelly
Do you have any blisters in your mouth? Hand, foot and mouth disease is quite widespread in Thailand and can affect adults.

owenm
Definitely looks like dust or bed mites or small mot bites.. I'd be checking around your bedding and spray with a good insecticide around bed box, sheets and doona. After a couple of hours wash everything in washing machine. Hopefully you've got spare sheets in the mean time.. Purchase a tube of Bethasone-N cream or equivalent in a gel from a pharmacy and apply 2-3x daily.. This is recommended for insect bites to reduce itch and any possibility of infection. Store in fridge or under 30C.
Colabamumbai
If it is in your crotch and armpits also it could be a fungal infection, Fungiderm B ointment from the pharmacy is available.
rickudon
Like lemonjelly says, could be hand, foot and mouth disease. Common in children, rare in adults. Mouth sores? Rarely dangerous. Should go away within a week.
sydneyjed
You need to get a blood test quick smart is my advice. As already stated maybe insect/bed mites or even an allergy to the washing powder you are using. It (could)also be a mild dose of Dengue Fever also caused by mosquito bites.Anyway with flu like symptom's then all your joints aching it needs to be diagnosed properly for peace of mind!

Actuallt there is a new very good cream now available, namely QUADRIDERM It is an antifunglal, antibiotic anti-inflammatory, check it out. However I think you have had the sweats, from the flu etc, it is possible you have "Prickly Heat Rash". Buy some Prickly Heat soap and Prickly heat Talcum powder, ....at worst it will relieve the symptoms.

AlexRich
It could be something obvious like chickenpox or measles. I broke out in a rash a few years back coupled with headache, aching body, and general weakness. It turned out to be chickenpox, something that I had as a child. The doctor explained that I might have had a weak dose as a child and my immunity had worn off. With people being paranoid about vaccines these old diseases are making a comeback.
