Mavideol
been there done that... these are sand flies bites, (little +/- 2-3 mm size) and one gets them around the beach usually in the afternoon after rainy day or humid day, they bite and we start to feel the itching 2-3 hours later... antihistamine and betnovate cream (5 days but start to feel better after 2 days) solve the problem. Went to dermato and he gave 1 xyzal for the night (bed time) and 1 Telfast (or fenafex) 180 after breakfast, apply cream on the bite only not smear, 3-4 times day... good luck

UncleFesterNightmare
Shingles. Run to a doctor now. If it is, the sooner you get on an anti-viral, the better.

Tony M
Get a blood test asap. My daughter has just come out of hospital after getting dengue fever. The symptoms you have are very similar. The body rash comes after the flu - like symptoms, and ( according to the doctors) mean that you are getting better !

Except sand flies don't bite as such. They spit a caustic solution onto you skin which dissolves it...then they feed. That's why the bite isn't noticeable straight away. Nasty little suckers.
scubascuba3
Does anyone know what type of rashes these are and the cause of them? They've mainly appeared on my hands/fingers and top of the feet and upper leg. Also, do you have any recommendations for good doctors who specialise in rashes at Pattaya Memorial or Pattaya International hospitals or any others close by? What department of a hospital would you go to? Don't know if it's related but I got hit very hard with flu-like symptoms a few days ago. A very bad headache, aches in joints, and a low-grade fever. Fully recovered from it now. The rashes started appearing around the time I had the flu-like symptoms. Also, there's pain on the sides of both thumbs next to the fingernails (one side of the fingernail) if I press them. They are all red in colour too. Same with a couple of other fingers. Also same with the inner side of both heels of the foot, but it's not red. A bit painful when walking with each step. Op it's been a week, what was it?
